Developed in 1842, the cyanotype print is one of the oldest forms of non-silver imagery, celebrated for its signature Prussian blue hue and its ethereal, tactile quality.
At its core, cyanotype is a dance between light and iron. By coating paper or fabric with a light-sensitive solution of ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide, the surface becomes a canvas ready to capture the silhouettes of the world.
The exhibition was a culmination of various cyanotype prints created as a part of a workshop. I got the opportunity to participate in the workshop and curate a small exhibition of the selected works.
